I don't think there is any person out there that at one point in their life didn't want to be a super hero. We think of all the cool things we could do and how much fun it would be. Well we are all probably wrong. Just think about when you were a kid and couldn't wait to become an adult. Man no one was going to tell you what you could or couldn't do, I can stay up late, eat whatever I want. Being an adult was going to be so cool! Now we all want to be 8 again. Because when you were 8 you could be a super hero or anything else you wanted to be. If you wanted to put on a cowboy hat a red towel for a cape and yellow gym shorts and step out the front door to face the world, well no cared and it was ok. Let me tell you after a certain age people start to care when you do stuff like that.
I don't want to be a super hero anymore. Being me is a pretty tough job sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I really like being me. I have the best kids in the world, my girlfriend couldn't be a more amazing person even if I had wished for it. I'm also not incredibly hideous either. So being me is not so bad but it's not easy. And I'm sure everyone can say the same. So if anyone offers you the opportunity to strap a nuclear powered rocket to your back and tells you to go save the world...take a couple seconds to think it through before you do. (But if you do strap that puppy on, drop me a note and tell me how it was.)
