The Monkey is the Man....

If you haven't noticed I like monkeys. I can't say more just because I have nothing more to say.

Pet Spider...

I like this spider. He's silly.

Bad ass...

This one was done awhile back. But she's one of my favorite characters and I like robots. Mmmmm...robots....

I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok!...

Drawing I did for a book that was never published...Good news is I like the drawing...bad news is everytime I look at it I can't get the "LumberJack" song out of my head.

Damn you Monty Python and your British humor!!!

I didn't get to see Kong in the theater but my kids and I bought it last weekend.
So I had to draw something...and here it is.

Snowman...

This is a really fast sketch and coloring job in Photoshop. Nothing really exciting but I promised myself to put something new up.

Moleskin...

Moleskin sketchbooks are the best overall, off-the-shelf sketchbooks you can buy. (in my opinion, but since I'm right that's all that matters). This is a quick ink wash I did recently. I haven't gotten to try all of there line of products but I usually have about 2 or 3 going at a time.

My favorite....

Bill Waterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes is a comic genious. I don't know what he's currently up to but I hope he does something new soon. This is one of my favorite ones he's done.

It's been awhile...

Well kido's it's been sometime since I've sat down and put anything on here so I will try and be a little more consistant for all the poor fools that decide to run across my blog and spend the time to read it. I will also try to post more illustrations. That was really the whole purpose of this thing and to put some stories out there and see what people thought of them.

So this will hopefully be the first in a long line of questionably interesting post. So stay tuned and prepare to be awe inspired.

If Superman were me...

If Superman were me would he be able to survive?
Could he face what I face everyday without his superpowers?
I would gladly face the foes he faces even as myself, than struggle with the monumental task set before me.

Superpowers will not protect you from the villans I face, their methods are much more trecherous than the muscle or machine Superman must battle.

The foes I face are not purely evil and are not so easily spotted. Some attack from within after they have infiltrated your defenses. They know your weekness and where to strike.

If it were as simple as punching through walls or battling hundreds of demons or leaping tall buildings in a single bound. I wish to trade my problems for those.

So if you are out there Superman please stop by and I will trade my villans for yours, I will fight your battles and you can climb against my uphill struggles.

One more gone...

One goes and they all start going. My son thinks he's going to get rich off this. He's ready to have them all fall out.

Lullaby...

Close your eyes...
Close your eyes sweet baby and dream of me,

Close your eyes sweet baby my love for you will always be.

Close your eyes sweet baby to the moons lullaby as he whispers sweet dreams to you in the night.

Close your eyes sweet baby to the twinkling stars as you lye safe and secure in my arms.

Close your eyes sweet baby and dream of me,

Close your eyes sweet baby my love for you will always be.

Close your eyes sweet baby as the angles look down and gaze at the beauty in you I've found.

Close you eyes sweet baby as I kiss you good night and thank the heavens for the joy you brought to my life

Close your eyes sweet baby and dream of me,

Close your eyes sweet baby my love for you will always be.

Close your eyes sweet baby and remember I love you,

Close your eyes sweet baby I know that you love me too.

I started writing this when my youngest daughter was only a couple months old. She was very sick and for a short time we didn't know if we would loose her or not. I didn't finish it until two years ago she got sick again over Christmas. Her and I share a birthday and it's coming up. She has been an amazing gift in my life just as all my children have.
